logging on

For some reason when I start up my XP now I have to click
on to a picture to take me to my desktop where as before
I didn't have to , did I change something I'm not aware
of?

Hi Colleen,

My guess is that you installed the .net framework from windows update. It
adds a user account, so you are prompted for a logon. There is an easy fix:

Start/run "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes).

Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply/ok and follow
the prompts to set up a default logon.
