Just a basic question...

I'm new to XP, and have set up users for my family to use. The problem being
everytime the computer is switched on and loaded, it goes straight on to
Admin user. I tried everything on User Account settings, only the basics are
on there. It says nothing about load welcome screen. We are having to log off
and then log on to our own accounts.

Any Ideas?

Many Thanks

If you have Windows XP Tweak UI:

1. Open Tweak UI
2. Open the Logon tree branch ('+')
3. Click on AutoLogon
4. Uncheck Log on automatically at system startup
5. Click on OK

If you don't have Windows XP Tweak UI:

1. Click on Start Menu | Run
2. Enter: control userpasswords2
3. Click on OK
4. Check 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.'
5. Click OK

Disable "switch user" functionality and also configure to require logon with
password.

This still does not work. I do not have RUN on my start menu, and i am not
using Tweak UI. All of our accouns have passwords, still disabled switch user
function, just keeps coming up Admin.

Right click on Start Menu button, Click on Properties, Click on Customize,
scroll down the list and check Run command.

Now working. Many thanks
