When I send any question to Microsoft news group in Vista Mail, the system
always asks for logging in the Microsoft Group with email address and
password. I do not understand what it is and click cancel all the time to
send off the email to the newsgroup. It happened in Vista Mail but not in
Outlook Express of Windows XP. Can someone explain what it is for and if we
can disable it.

Thanks,

Scott

It's asking for your Passport/Live ID so that it can use the Communities
feature from the Web portal. If you don't have a Passport ID or Windows
Live ID, go Tools Accounts and select the Microsoft Communities account.
Click Properties. On the Windows Live ID tab select Never.
