Jeremy

I have a laptop running Windows XP pro, that is connected
to a network through a domain. I used a user name and
password to log in. i was switching from a domain to a
workgroup network so i went to the properties of "my
computer" did that, and when i attempted to log back in
after restart, it asks me for my username and password i
use the same ones as before and i get an error message
saying " The system could not log you on. Make sure your
username and domain are corect, then type your password
again. Letters in the passwords must be typed using the
correct case."

How can i get past this and into the computer. ive tried
every username, domain name and password config that i
can think of. nothing works HELP HELP HELP HELP all
cannot be lost. I will try anything.

PPppppppppppppplease.

Take your laptop back to work and ask the domain admin to rejoin it to the
domain. You can't log in at all now unless you have the local admin
credentials - and even if you do, you can't get your domain login or profile
back without the admin on the domain network rejoining your computer.

Don't mess around with your network settings - you didn't need to do this
just to connect to resources on a home network. This is one reason a lot of
admins don't like to grant end user accounts local admin privileges on their
laptops/PCs - it's a very common mistake for people to make.
