Log?

Hi there,

I came home today to find my PC off as I always leave it on.
I'd like to look at the log to see if I can find out why it shut down.
Where is it and what is it called?

Event Viewer.

To open the Event Viewer...
Start | Run | Type: eventvwr | Click OK

For any Events that seem related to the problem...

Double click the event in Event Viewer | Click: the button below the second
arrow (looks like two pages) [[Copies the details of the event to the
Clipboard.]] | Paste into Notepad | Also click on:

Read all info | Copy and paste to Notepad | Click the [+] Related Knowledge

This can also be very useful.
You need to have the Event ID & the Event Source.

Weird.

Nothing for the 5th (today) and when I booted the machine it went
straight to bios.

Not only that the processor wasn't set to 2.2 it was set to 1.3
(default). If that wasn't enough, all the other BIOS settings were as I
set them.

When Windows loaded the time wasn't set.

Very odd.
