Log scale data in template

R

Rick Flaherty

I'm trying to make a template that will allow the user to
enter data on stocks and plot them on a log scale. When I
start to enter data into the fields Excel gives me a
warning " Negative or zero values can not be plotted
correctly on log charts.... Then it gives me options to
either enter positive values or change the scale. The
thing is the data that is entered is positive. Is there
a way to delay Excel judging the data until it is entered?
Also how can it be plotted automatically?
Thanks,
RickF

The chart must plot positive data; not 'wait' until the user is
satisfied that all data have been entered.

However, if you plot only that range that contains data, you will be all
set. In other words, making the chart plot only the data entered will
solve the warning problem.

To decide what data to plot automatically, see the Dynamic Charts page
of my web site.
