I am receiving the follow message when I try to log on:

The system could not log you on. Make sure your User name
and domain are correct then type your password again.
Letters in passwords must be typed using the correct case.
Make sure that Caps Lock is not accidentally on

I received this laptop from a friend just today. Worked
fine until I removed the domain name and changed it to
workgroup. Must have screwed something up. I can not get
passed the log on screen. Help

Disjoining the domain destroyed the client/ domain trust. You'll need to
physically reconnect to the domain and rejoin it to the domain. You can
logon locally with any valid local account. The cached domain account
information is no longer available. Ask the systems administrator to rejoin
the pc back to the domain.
