Log off immediately after logon

Hi,
I used Adaware to clean up a lot of spyware off my
daughter's computer running XP Pro. After reboot upon
loging and showing the Desktop for a second or two, the
system immediately logs me (an all users) off.

I can log on to the system when I boot in safe mode. No
restore points are available. Any help?

See if this link helps. A common problem after removing spyware:

I tried the instructions there, but the Userinit.exe is
being referenced in the registry
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon) I created the wsaupdater.exe
just in case, but there is no reference to it in the
registry (I seartched for wsaupdater.exe)

I can log on the computer in the safe mode with an
administrator password. I tried reinstalling XP, but
during the installation I got a message that GETIUxxx
(don't really remember exact name) is not on my computer
and I need to install a .dll. So after the installation
was complete, I still couldn't log on.
Thanks

I don't know then. As a last resort see if this applies:
