Log into user account with Admin password?

Jerry Dubuke

Hi All,

I administer a Win2K3 network with XP Pro workstations. For security
reasons, I have had all the users change their passwords. Now, from time to
time, I need access to the users' machine and their associated profile. Is
there a way for an Domain administrator who has administrator rights to the
local machine to log into that profile with the administrator password?
Sometimes the user is not around, and logging into the Admin account does
not give me the users' profile...desktop, etc.

You can only logon as the user to use their profile. You can however copy
their profile to another account that you create that you may want to logon
to or access the files in their profile under documents and settings though
you may need to take ownership first if administrators group does not have
permissions to users profiles. --- Steve
