locking up when using links

When I try to use a link or short cut in outlook express
or in some web pages in Internet Explorer 6.0 my system
locks up. Any help would be appreciated.
 
Does it happen sometimes or all the time. If it's
sometimes it may be just something simple, like emptying
your Temporary Internet Files/Cookies/History. If not,
you may need to reinstall, or repair it. If you have
Win95/98/Me, you can repair it. Go to Control
Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Internet Explorer.
Click "Add/Remove," and then choose "Repair Internet
Explorer." Let us know any more information.
