Create a powerpoint template with animation-hyperllink-activex controls....

and lock the template

however leave text boxes in the template where people can customize the

Hi...To save any template as theme.

Click on the Design tab -> Save Current Theme
and the theme is saved as Theme1.thmx( You can name it as per your
convinience)

Whenever you want to use it again just browse theme's and select your saved
one.

Cheers,

No.

Passwording a presentation (or template) is an all-or-nothing thing. There's
no way to "lock down" bits and pieces....

questions...and i want to do the same thing

You can modify control text boxes during a show even in a passworded file
(but not save the result). This won't be useful though unless you are a vba
programmer.
