Locked up with possible virus...

My computer won't start windows IN ANY MODE! Won't get to
desktop, either.

Each time we start up (even in safe mode) it gets to
the "loading windows" but then restarts and never loads.

Is this a virus?

Hi,

To check if your computer has virus try using the Virus scanner setup CD which is bootable. This can check the masterboot for virus and eliminate if possible.

My computer has been doing the same thing every since I
downloaded the new critical update. Have never had any
problems ever before.
