Locked out of PC!

Hi,

My lap-top runs Windows 2000. I have changed the network
ID from an account run through an organisation to myself.

It then prompted me to re-start the PC. When I came to
logon again it would not recognise my username/ password
and I am locked out of my lap-top.

Any ideas? Should there not be an admin login I could use?
How do I get back in?

Kind Regards,

Jon

there will be an administrator account but you'll need to ask your net
admins what the password is ... if they'll provide it that is ..

none

You will have to take it back to work and have a net admin add it back to
the domain. There is an administrator account but again only your net admin
knows the password.

Hi,

Who would my net admin be?

How do I find out? It is a personal PC.

How can it be a personal PC when you said

ie from an account run through an organisation

take it back to the previous organisation and ask the net admin to sort
it for you

Try changing your domain to this pc.

if you purchased this from a business, then most likely
your only resolution is to buy a new copy of windows
and reinstall for yourself.
if you had this as your personal laptop and configured as
your work station, then take it back to work and have the
network people change it back to your personal logon.
