Locked out of machine

I

isabelle

Running Windows 2000, I wanted to quit the domain and then
rejoin it.
I typed to join a work group, and I received the message
that the machine could not communicate with the domain so
it deactivated the machine account.
Now I cannot logon to the machine.

Any suggestions!

What happens when you try to log in with the local administrator account?
Was this a domain controller, member server, or workstation? If it was a
domain controller, I believe you may need to use the "Directory services
recover administrator" password or the password you set during installation.

Try this process:
1. Log on to the PC using a local administrator account, this will not
require access to the domain.
2. Change the computer into a workgroup.
3. Delete the computer account from AD and wait for replication to spread
the change around.
4. Rejoin the domain.

This was just a workstation. It used to be part of the
domain. Now there is no option to logon to the domain or
the machine, I assume it is only trying to log me onto the
machine.

The main problem, is I cannot get on to the machine at
all. It is accepting no local logons.

Well, if its not accepting any local logons, the only suggestion I can give
you is to try a repair of Windows or a password reset tool.

Can you suggest a password reset tool?
