Locked File

Hi,

on my desktop, I have a 200MB file. It's an EPS from
illustrator. I want to delete it but I get the message
that Another program is using the file and I should close
this program. Of course nothing else that Windows is
opnned and I Restarted it many times, I'm logged of the
network and I defragmanted my disk. Nothing is working.

What else should I do ?

Try deleting the file from the so-called 'Safe mode'.
It worked for me before.
If that doesn't work, you can make a DOS bootable floppy disk and boot into DOS
and delete it from there.

Open the Command Prompt, then use the Task Manager to end the Explorer.exe.
Delete the file with Dos Command Del.
The reopen the Explorer.exe with the Task Manager.

Hi,

Except that you will need a boot disk that loads NTFS drivers if you use
the NTFS file system, which by default installation you will be.

PROBLEM SOLVED !!!

I just rebooted in safe mode, deleted the file and voila !
