Locked database

George

Dear friends,

I have created a database using Access 2003 - Invest.mdb (default format
Access 2000). I can open it using Access 2003 and Access 2007.

I have installed it in an organisation and while trying to open it (they use
Access 2000) it gives me an error message:

"Invest was unable to create the database window. Please upgrade it to a new
version of Microsoft internet explorer"

What can I do? Is that a sort of security they have applied on their
servers? Is it a matter of wrong (not complete0 installation?

Please be informed that other simple database (without too much VBA coding)
can be opened there. Only the one I have created gives this error and cannot
be opened.

Any ideas will be highly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance,

GeorgeCY

Hi George,

That "Please upgrade it to a new version of Microsoft internet
explorer" message is rather odd. But, if they are still in Office 2000,
maybe other things on their system are really out-of-date. You might suggest
they run Windows Update and do all service packs and critical upgrades, along
with upgrading to the latest version of IE.

Thanks a lot Clifford for your reply.

One more question: Can I download and install the Access 2007 runtime? I
believe is given free of charge and is legal. Isn't it?
