Lock text wrapping

Is there any way to lock text so that it does not wrap?

Can you be more descriptive & specific about what you are trying to do? As
your question is phrased, I would have to ask "If it doesn't wrap, where is
it supposed to go?".

Also, version info may be helpful to know.

Yes, sorry. A colleague of mine was trying to prevent text from wrapping
around the side of a table in Word (Office 2003). She was having a problem
with text appearing on the outer, right margin of a table. The text was not
right justified, nor was it set to wrap around the table. She had difficulty
removing the this text and placing it beneath the table where she had wanted
it to appear. After finally fixing the problem, she was wondering if the
text could somehow be "locked" to prevent the text from wrapping around the
right margin of the table.

Text will not wrap around a table if the table is inline. If the table has
become wrapped by being inadvertently nudged, this can be corrected by going
to the Table tab of Table Properties and selecting None for "Text wrapping."
