lock scroll to input data

I would like to lock a record from scrolling for editing data. At the moment
an accidental bump of the mouse button can cause the form to scroll to the
next record and cause data to be input to the wrong record. I have looked for
an answer for some time but cant sort it. Any help appreciated.
