Lock row in Excel

You would have to either freeze the panes or split the window to do it, just as you do when you want to keep the column or row
headers "frozen". It would seem awkward to freeze panes at a total row, especially if the totals weren't always going to be on the
same row. This would also keep you from being able to lock the headers in place, since you can't freeze multiple panes. That would
be an interesting feature to have, but having talked with Excel engineers, I don't think anybody could convince them that the likely
amount of customer use would justify the time needed to make it work.
 
You might try putting your total row at the top, either above or below
the headers and freeze them in place with the headers.
