Have you contacted the device vendor?

Hi Paul, Thank-You very much for responding to my issue. I have
contacted the vendor (Liberty Systems) and they keep pointing back to
our wireless in our plant. I have done extensive reasearch on the
wireless here and all channels are corretc etc. The biggest issue is
that the user (on te hi-lo) recieves this Lock H and cannot go any
farther in there duties until it rolls over or you re-boot the
machine....

The problem is that almost no one here is going to know what "Lock H" means.
I certainly don't. If it's something specific to the device, the chances
that someone here will know anything about it are limited to those who a)
are using .NET Compact Framework (since that's the group you posted to), b)
are using that specific device, c) know what that term means in the context
of the device, and d) have some idea of what might cause it to go awry.
That's a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a fraction (and they're
small fractions). The device vendor should at least have large fractions in
a couple of those areas! When I say "device vendor", I don't mean Liberty
Systems; they aren't the device vendor.

If you want to try to explain to us what a "lock H" is, there's some chance
that we'll have some idea what might cause your problem, I guess, but asking
here is sort of like asking in a general C++ group about a jumper setting on
a particular brand and model of PC; sure, you might get lucky, but you'd
have a better chance asking the PC vendor.

Hi

I?ve seen the same problem and have been solving the issue for 3-4 years. Vendor (Psion Teklogix) have seen the problem on severall installations but they have no quick recipy to solve the case. At my customer this problem was on 82xx terminals in 5 different customer warehouses. Lock-h appeared randomply, but obviously it was worse when using IP protocol + more terminals in the warehouse = more problems. Same stuff goes for the new 85xx terminals.

Terminals are alive and do have connection to the server. Any serverside action to solve the problem won?t work as it seems that the problem in on the terminal. Best way for the user to get around this problem is to reboot terminal forklift software (unless he wants to wait long time until terminal recovers by it self) Also using IQ with controllers seems to help the problem... For perfect fix for the issue I do not know... If some1 has solved the case please let me know. atm. we are managing the situation, but I?m quite sure that some terminal side problem is behind this.

Hi As far as I know, Lock-H (H=Host) is a disconnection from the host/Database. I am also experiencing the same issue on 8525s. have searched all over with no success to finding the root course...
