location of start and task bar

My start button is in the upper right corner of the screen
and the task bar run vertically down the right side. I
don't know how it got there or how to get everything back
to horizontal across the bottom. Is there a way to reset
to the installed set up?

Right-click the taskbar, uncheck "Lock the Taskbar" and
you can drag the taskbar anywhere you want.
