Location of retrieved file

MM2 crashed and when I restarted it asked if I wanted to
run the automatically saved project file (which I did).
Where would this file have been saved by MM2, as the
default location?

It's saved into \Documents and Settings\your user\Local Settings\Temp\ as a
file with a .tmp extention, that is inaccessible for reading while MM is
open, and gets deleted while MM closes.

Or wherever you choose to save it to under Tools, Options in the General
tab!
