Dear Sirs,

How can I know (when a message is opened) where does it reside (Inbox,
sentitems, public folder....)?

Regards,
Yahya

Each item has a Parent property that returns the MAPIFolder where the item
resides. In Outlook 2002 or later, the MAPIFolder.FolderPath property
returns a text string with the folder's path in the Outlook hierarchy. In
other versions, you can use the Parent property of the folder to walk up the
hierarchy.
