Locating emails on another drive

Hi

I recently had to replace my hard drive due to start up problems. The result
was that I had a new hard drive installed with a new operating system and the
original hard drive was "slaved" to the new master. I have been able to
transfer my work, itunes library, photos, videos etc over but I can't find my
old e-mails. Any attempt to open outlook express on the original hard drive
opens the new empty version. I have tried searching for e-mails but the only
results returned are two that were moved from outlook express. I have tried
searching for .pst folders but the only one that was returned was on the new
hard drive and at 112 kb isn't the one I'm after. Am I right in thinking that
they have been lost?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
