Locate Link Browser

A friend received an email with two links in it. One link works correctly,
the other link brings up an explorer window headed "Locate Link Browser", but
not the web page. She forwarded the email to me. In my system, the link
works, but also shows me the explorer window.

Is there a way I can see exactly what the link is, rather than the text that
brings it up? With web pages I can "view source", but there is no such
option in the email.
Both my friend and I use MS Office Professional 2003.

More information. My PC has Firefox installed, and the strange link ALWAYS
opens in Firefox, even though it is not the default browser. My friend does
not have Firefox and, so, the page didn't load. How can I see the actual
HREF?

In OL2003 you should be able to right-click on the body of the message and
select View Source.

No, sorry. No "View Source" anywhere that I can find, including
right-clicking in the body.

How can someone set up a link which effectively says, "use Firefox and go
here"?

It could be that some file types are associated with Internet Explorer but
some with FireFox - e.g. if the URL ends .htm, .html, .aspx, etc. you might
get different results.

Have you tried Reset Web Settings in Internet Explorer (Tools > Internet
Options > Programs in IE6, Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Reset... in
IE7)?

(Be aware that this might affect how FireFox works though.)

Lastly, if you want to see the source HTML of a mail but can't get it any
other way, save the mail as an HTML file and open it in notepad.
