Local Users over Remote Admin Login

I have an administrator account on an AD domain. I routinely VPN from
home into the lab of computers to do maintence on them. The issue
comes that users who are local, can login over me. Is there a way to
disable this at all? I have a screwed up install of Visual Studio on
a few machines because this happened.

Are they restarting the machine or logging in over you?
Only another administrative level account on that machine could do that...

I don't know if this will help or not but you could test it out. When you
first remote in use Local Security Policy and add everyone to the list of
deny logon locally and then run the gpupdate command. When done be sure to
remove that entry or no one, not even a local administrator, will be able to
logon locally.
