I have a files in my system as follows:

C:\Documents and Settings\All\Local Settings\Temp

This contains many FDR files and many other folders and files (e.g. Cookies
folder, folders called things such as Temporary Directory, _ISTMP1.DIR,
pftA~tmp).

What are these files and will it be okay to delete any of them.

At the end of each IE session I delete all files and downloaded temp files,
clear history, etc. Should these files and folders be deleted?

(The dates for the files/folders go back to 2002; the most recent files go
back to 1st August this year.)

Thanks

WG

These files(C:\Documents and Settings\All\Local
Settings\Temp)are safe to delete. You can also delete the
files in windows\temp. I would not delete any cookies or
the 'temp internet files'. The files in the temp
directory are temporary, from previous installs and are
no longer needed.
hope this helps
