local security policy and domain accounts

I have a 2003 domain and XP sp2 workstations

When I try to add a domain user to a local security policy (act as part of
the o/s) The doamin does not show up under the locations tab.

Also if I try to simply the objcet name <domain>\<username> it will not
allow the update any help?
