Local PST files - Can't move messages in anymore...

My mail usually resides on the server, but I created a couple of local .pst
files into which I move my messages occasionally, to keep the server load
down, and to do a bit of sorting.

It's worked fine for weeks, but now for some reason, when I drag messages
from the server to the local mail storage .pst file I get the very unhelpful
error message:

"Can't move the items. The item could not be moved. It was either already
moved or deleted, or access was denied."

That doesn't help me much. I can stil click on the mailbox icon for the pst
file and see all the messages with no problem. I checked to make sure the
..pst files were still there, and not moved - which they are.

Any suggestions???

Thx.

Ross.

The pst's are both less than 100MB.... but on my continuing google hunt for
a solution I did come across some MS support page referring to exchange
server configuration, which appeared to refer to some setup the IT dep't
folks would have to repair.

Curiously, the exchange server access went out for a few minutes, and then
when it came back, I was able to drag my messages into my pst's again...

So - problem solved. I should have just got my morning tea before trying, I
might not have had the trouble at all. For those who find there way to
this problem post with similar problems, hasseling your IT people is a good
first step!

Thanks for the prompt followup though Diane!
