How can I reinstall my TCP/IP? It is no longer listed under the general tab
of the Local Network Connection Properties.

Carey, These instructions would be great. Except, my computer does not list
the Local Area Connection items "Client for Microsoft Networks", "File and
Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" or "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)".
These items are not listed and thus there is no box beside them to check.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Scott

Carey,
These instructions would have been great if my Local Area Connection
Properties window listed the items on your site. My window does not cotain
the following items: "Client for Microsoft Networks", "File and Printer
Sharing for Microsoft Networks", or "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)". Thus,
there is no box beside of them to check. How can I restore the items to my
local area connections?
Thanks,
Scott

How are you using the computer to post to Usenet if you don't have
TCP/IP Installed?

Since you are running XP, there is almost no way to install XP without
TCP/IP installed also.

Are you sure that you've clicked on the proper network adapter - it
should show connected under status?

I am using another computer to post the messages. I am trying to avoid
reinstalling XP. The computer had been functioning great until these files
"disappeared". It does show connected under status, but will receive no data
from the Internet.
