Local Drives Not Availble When Using RDC

D

Douglas Pribyl

I am having a problem getting my local Windows XP drives
(C: and D:) to show up when connected to any of several
Windows 2000 servers. I am using the Remote Desktop
Client software and I do have a check mark next to
the "Disk Drives" option on the "Local Resources" tab.
Note, my local drives show up without any problem if I am
connecting to a Windows 2003 Server. Is there a policy
setting or something that I have to configure on the
Windows 2000 servers for them to allow the use of local
resources. Remote printing does work fine on all of the
servers however. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows 2000 does not support local drive access through
terminal services. You will have to upgrade to the W2K3
Terminal Services product to be able to enjoy that
benefit. SOrry
