Local Drive Icon Changed

I have a new computer with WinXP. The 2nd hard drive has
2 partitions - both of which appear in My Computer
without the normal hard drive icon. Instead they have
the generic document icon. Any idea what may be wrong?
 
Look in the root of each partition (with the weird icon) for a file named
autorun.inf. If you see it, delete it.
 
There is no autorun.inf file in the root directory of either partition. What
should I try next?
