local device name already in use

I've had this XP PRO box several weeks. After working just
fine, it now looses its connection to its mapped network
drives and gives the 'An error occurred while reconnection
to H: to \\fileserver\shareddir Microsoft Windows Network:
The local device name is already in use. This connection
has not been restored' error message, though it remains on
the network and internet. No one else on my LAN is having
this issue. Is this a normal XP malady?
