Local Area Network

I do not have a Local Area Network connection installed on
my computer. I am not sure why it is not on there, but it
is needed for the internet, in order for the internet to
work. Does anyone know how to install LAN on my Windows
XP computer? Please email me the steps or instructions to

your help.
 
Hmmm...

This person needs to just toss out that box and go by a Mac... Much easier
to use for the brain dead...
