Loading RAMDISK Image and reboot

Javier Gómez

I'm trying boot a Xpe using Remote service.
In Remote Boot Manager i have not especified 'boot Image' and 'boot
Parameters' parameters and i have created a boot.ini and i have placed into
downloads folder. this file is:

[boot loader]
timeout=5
default=ramdisk(0)\windows
[operating systems]
ramdisk(0)\windows="Windows XPe Remote Boot" /fastdetect
/rdpath=net(0)\final.sdi /rdimageoffset=4096

The cliente boot correctly and show the message 'loading ramdisk image' but
when finish, the cliente reboot without show any error, only reboot and
start the boot process again and other time reboot. my client have 500MB ram
and the image size is of 400mb.

I created a ntfs partition where i run the post fba correctly, after i
copied the contnt into sdi volume called rbs.sdi and i run the next
commands:

sdimgr /new:final.sdi
sdimgr final.sdi /readpart e:rbs.sdi

any suggestion?

best regards and thanks

I guess your also want to 'pack' the sdi file (use /pack command line switch).
Also add /SOS switch to your boot.ini current path to see if it is failing somewhere at boot.
