Loading imported themes to WordPress

WordPress is truly a fine and free weblog. And I thank the Mole here
for turning me on to it. However, I have found a theme I like more than
any of the pre-loaded choices. It is from their theme site (extra
themes to download) and followed all instructions on installing the
download. But the one I am working with does not show up after the FTP
transfer to the wp-admin/themes.php file. Been trying to get it to show
up as a choice for more than a day now with no luck. FileZilla does say
the upload was successful. But I can't find it to install as my current
theme. Any help would be appreciated.

For the present time, the link to the weblog being used now can be found
on the home page of www.theastropost.com

Martin;

Installation instructions are included w/each theme. Double check if
you have the install directory correct for your theme because most I've
seen go in wp-content/themes/. And, fwiw, the wordpress community is
pretty darned nice & they have some rockin' doc (eg.
http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes#Adding_New_Themes).
