Load Balancing windows xp's 2 network adapter

P

psawant

Hi all,

My computer has a ethernet card which is connected to a 4 megs dsl .
Also i have access to a wireless connection which is connected to a
6m cable connection.

What will have if i add a wireless card and try to use both
connections? Will XP load balance the outgoing pipe? or is igoing to
use only of the two connections?

Thanks all in advance.

"Load balancing" only works with two network adapters that are designed to
do so, usually two from the same vendor and most often of the same type. In
general, Windows will assign a higher priority to the fastest connection and
a lower priority to the other. The Ethernet connection should get the
highest priority due to its speed.
