little white arrows on desktop shortcut

I would really like to know how to remove those anoying
little white arrows on the shortcuts. Im sure its done in
the regestry but im not sure where or what value to
delete.

You have to go to regedit to get rid of the shortcut
arrows. Go to this webpage at Microsoft for details
about how to do it. Be very careful to delete only the
items this article references.

I had problems with internet shortcuts having the
arrows. Found today how to get rid of them. Search the
regedit for 'isshortcut' in the internet shortcut
section. Delete this key, close regedit, and restart
windows. The arrows will be gone.
