Hi... the windows logon screen has always been enabled.. and I have XP
Style... I use window blinds, and it's possible that they changed the look..
I have the picture when I logon, but not at the to right of my name on the
start menu... any other ideas? thanks.. like I said it's no big deal, but
it is a curiosity..

Rainy,
You need to use the XP Style view, and enable the "Welcome" screen, when XP
starts up.
1. XP Style view:
Right-click START button> Properties> Start Menu tab> Select Start Menu (the
top one).
2. Enable Welcome screen:
Control Panel> User Accounts> Change way logon/logoff Computer> Check
Welcome screen box.
