little black dot missing from cell selector

choose tools / options / edit - check allow cell drag & drop

Hi

Just recently the little black dot has disappeared from the bottom right
corner of my cell selector.
You know, the one you click on to extend a range of entries. e.g if cell A1
contains the number 2, cell A2 contains the number 4, you select both cells,
then drag this little black button down to continue the sequence.
It's vanished???
Anybody know how to fix this?
