Listing files in my own order

Is there a way to bypass the alphabetical listing of files in XP and arrange
files as I want? I'd like to list chapters in a book and be able to
rearrange them.
 
Click View/Choose Details. This shows you the list of columns available to
Explorer. You can sort by any column that's displayed. Beyond that, you're
probably out of luck.
