List vs. tiles

Everytime I open a folder it shows tiles, and I want to see my files in a
list. How do I set it such that it defaults to lists each time I open the
folder?

See your post of eleven minutes ago. Don't be so impatient.

If you don't see my reply to your previous post (or, even if you do), I
suggest you consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or Forte Agent
rather than the web interface to the newsgroups. It's a lot easier to do
nearly everything there, including finding replies, searching, which is
always a good idea to do before you post, as well as mark messages to be
watched, and filter based on replies to your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like.

Newsgroups offer free help from other participants. If you insist on a quick
answer go and pay a professional- there time becomes yours for a period.
Other than that wait patiently for the free help others offer you- this
impatience may lose you the help you ask for.

Dear Alan,

It wasn't impatience that I sent another note - I went into some web site
and realized that I may not have been clear in my question - this is the
first time I've tried this forum - so a little more compassion would be nice.

I already have a computer whiz in my pocket - I am a doctor myself and I
don't ask help until I really need it - and I teach my patients to be as self
reliant as possible.

You may want to consider that there is more to a person than what you think.
You jumped to some wrong conclusions about me right away my friend.

Take care,
Bodhi

I wasn't impatient Richard - I just put another post up because I didn't
think my first one was written properly.

It would be nice if people here would just give me a proper answer instead of
all the side commentary - what is the deal?

You are obviously new to usenet. Side commentaries/comments/whatever,
are the nature of usenet NGs.

Bodhi,

Don't take this stuff personally. Reap the good and toss the rotten
fruit into the compost. You're new to this, so there's much to learn, as
always. Keep your head up and have fun.

And your post says here are some more details? And is added to the thread
you had started?

No- you reposted.

Hi - with regard to usenet, you might want to consider using a newsreader
like Outlook Express or Forte Agent rather than the clumsy MS web interface
to the newsgroups - it's a lot easier to do nearly everything there,
including searching, which is always a good idea to do before you post, as
well as mark messages to be watched, and filter based on replies to your

So what? The guy is new to this. Lighten up Alan. How many times did you
fall down when you were learning to walk?

In the interest of providing for your own self reliance in the future
please see "Start, Help and support". In this case entering the term
"folder view" and pressing Enter, would have provided exactly what you
were looking for.
