List of paper sizes

Is there a list of paper sizes within XP somewhere that can be edited out?
Whenever I scan anything I am presented with a list of several dozen
different paper sizes - I will never scan anything other than legal or
letter, and would like to make Germand Standard Fanfold, Quarto, Japanese
Envelope Chou #4 and B6 (JIS) vanish forever, never to be seen again.

Is such a thing possible?

Possible, yes. But this information is probably contained in some
*.ini file specific for the scanner instead of Windows. Read the
manual for the scanner; the supporting scanning software might allow
editing or customization of its parameters.

So each scanner used by the windows Scanner Wizard has to be edited
manually? I was hoping that wouldn't be the answer.

Thanks, though.

Windows Scanner Wizard? Windows Wizards? Never use them...probably
too old-fashioned. Still think best to configure using instructions
and materials direct from the hardware manufacturer. If the maker of
the scanner says to use the Wizard, then proceed.

Using anything else is too bloated and has far too many features. I put
documents into the sheet feeder and scan into a .tif file - no need to
install who knows how many Mb of application that sits in memory and hogging
resources.
