Hello,

I have downloaded latest ati drivers (3.2.5) and I am running
linux mandrake 9.2rc2. The drivers installed correctly.

I have a Radeon 8500 and AMD 2100+ processor.

I downloaded Unreal Tournament 2003 DEMO and installed.
But the game is not really playable, i have video setting
640*480 and 16bit colour and turned off all detail to
lowest setting. But still the frame rate is still to low.

Any help/advice/tips ?

Thanks
Anders

Did you run make_install.sh and make.sh (I may have those typed wrong, but
they're the two steps following frglxconfig). It's all in the instructions.
It doesn't sound like 3D was activated, which is what those two steps
accomplish. A simple test is running TuxRacer - if it's a slideshow, then
3D is definitely not working.

BTW, I'm installing 9.2rc2 tonight with a P4/2.4 and 9700np. My previous
load of rc1 ran the ATI drivers and UT2003Demo nicely!

3D acceleration is not working.

You made sure that you're using the ATI OpenGL driver rather than Mesa?

In Gentoo you do something like:
opengl-update ati
