Linksys Router and Card

Hi:

I am contemplating upgrading my Sony VGC-RA716G desktop with Windows
MCE2005 to Vista Home Premium Edition. I currently have a Linksys Wireless
Access Router Model BEFW11S4 ver 3 connected to it and a Toshiba laptop with
XP Home Edition and Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adapter Model WPC54G. I am
using Comcast cable and my wireless network is working fine with both files
and printer sharing.

If I do upgrade to Vista Premium are there any problems that I should
anticipate in advance?

Thanks

You might check with Linksys to see if they have Vista compatible drivers
for the wireless card. Beyond that there should be no issues.

Keep in mind that Vista's firewall will only allow one other firewall to run
along with it. As long as you don't have let's say a Norton or a Mcafee
firewall running along with it you should be fine. Your router probably has
it's only firewall so that would be the "one" other exception that Vista's
firewall will allow to run. If any connections arise, just disable all
other firewalls (if present) other than Vista's and your routers'. good
luck...
