Hi,

After acquiring an IP address from DHCP in my new Linksys router, I can get
to the Internet. However, I cannot connect to a second PC in the basement
that is using a Wireless-N network adapter. The PC upstairs uses Ethernet
between its internal NIC, and one of the four RJ45 jacks on the back of the
router. This PC also gets connected to the Internet without any problems.

If the PC in the basement can get to the Internet, and the PC upstairs sees
Internet too, why can't I make a LAN connection between the two PCs? Their
IP addresses are:

192.168.1.101 and 192.168.1.100

I would like to do this kind of thing: net use Z:
\\Tamara-ken\C$
....but Windows can never connect. Any ideas?

Why is it that I cannot do something as simple as this:

C:\>net use I: \\TAMARA-KEN\C$
System error 53 has occurred.
The network path was not found.

try this:
from 192.168.1.101 machine ->
Start->run->\\192.168.1.100\C$

And vice versa...
