Hi,

I have a file which I have to update every month.It has 4 sheet
A,B,C,D.
B is linked to A. C & D are linked to B.
A is inserted from another file.
So the starting point for my activity is inserting new sheet A we wil
call it A1 and deleting old sheet A.
When I delete sheet A all the links in sheet B return me a #REF error.
have to then manually restore my links to new sheet A1.
I tried Find Replace option.However the option does not recognise th
new inserted sheet A1 and returns me the #REF error.
So my problem is how do I make excel recognise the new sheet so tha
all the links will be automatically restored.

What happens if you clear entire contents (CTRL+A ; DEL) of old SheetA, then
copy & paste in contents of new SheetA?

Open Find and Replace, enter #REF in the *Find* box and A1 in th
*Replace* box, make sure *Look In* is set to *Forumlas* and click OK.

I'm not sure if you can do this in versions of Excel earlier than X
(2002) though

For sure ; I just thought you might prefer to dispense with the whole
"delete sheet -- insert sheet from another file -- fix formulas" thing.
