Is it possible to load sheet without update links?

Hi all,

I have a sheet A with links to another sheet B.

Every day I make a copy of the sheets A and B, saving as
A_9_20_2010.xls, B_9_20_2010.xls, etc.

Now I want to go back to A_7_20_2010.xls,

and my questions:

1. Is there a way to automatically change the links within that
A_7_20_2010.xls,

from B.xls to the corresponding B_7_20_2010.xls ,

so then I am viewing the correct contents?

2. If that's not possible, is it possible when I open the sheet
A_7_20_2010.xls, we can avoid it update the links to

B.xls (which is not the corresponding the correct sheet
B_7_20_2010.xls) ?

I clicked "no" at the prompt "update links", but does this do what it
is supposed to do?

thank you!

I am confused by "sheets" and ".xls"

Are sheets A and B in the same workbook and you save each to its own new
workbook?

Have you tried Edit>Links>Change Source?
