links problem

how can i make a link to cells in another workbook so that if the source
cells are cut and pasted, the link will still refer to the same cells, eg if
cut and paste down one, a1 does not become a2.

if you have link source not-so-many-cells, i prefer to "name" the source cell.
and the link formula on another sht. shall contain such name.

un fortunately i have alot of cells\links to apply this fix to. probably 400+.

do i have to name each one individually?

thanks

it's unfortunate to cut and paste the source cells if you have link separate
workbooks.
One way to do this is to ensure that all cross-linked workbooks are open
while performing such cut and paste action on source.
it is inconvenient to name each individual source cell >400.
