Links in tasks

I am using Outlook 2003. I apologise in advance if this is a very simple
question, but I cannot find any way to insert a link within a task to a file
on my computer. I do not want to insert the file, I simply want to insert a
link to whatever document the task is related to. I thought I should be able
to insert a hyperlink, but none of the toolbars will give me that option.

You can do it manually, like this:

"<<file://C:\documents and settings\hector\myfile.doc>>"

Otherwise there are some utilities that will create the link for you.
